Silicate & Glass Division

The Silicate and Glass Division has operated since December 1st, 2007. It has been separated from the FosChem Division. It is based on Vitrosilicon, the manufacturing company of Ciech.

Appointment of the new division results from the Ciech Chemical Group strategy for 2007 - 2011 assuming acquisition of a strong position in the Polish glass-making industry.

The Silicates and Glass Division also handles trade of products from outside the Ciech Chemical Group, namely, sulphur and petrochemical products. Its income on sales accounts for 13% of the total income of the Group. Following the example of other organisational units of this type, the Silicates and Glass Division takes part in the manufacturing company management through its specialised marketing, sales, purchasing and logistics lines.
