The Agro & Silicates Division was established on September 1st, 2010 as a result of the merger of the Agro Division and the Silicates & Glass Division. This new organisational unit is based on two manufacturing subsidiaries: Zakłady Chemiczne Alwernia and Vitrosilicon.
Its sales revenues account for appr. 19 percent of the Group’s sales revenues. Following the example of other organisational units of this type, the Agro & Silicates Division takes part in the manufacturing subsidiaries’ management through its specialised sales, purchasing and logistics lines.
Appointment of the new division results from the current Ciech Chemical Group strategy.
The Agro & Silicates Division also handles trade of products from outside the Ciech Chemical Group, namely, sulphur and petrochemical products.
