Today, the students of unique two-semesters Postgraduate Studies „Chemical and Process Engineering and Technology” organized by the Ciech Chemical Group in cooperation with the Warsaw University of Technology received certificates. Twenty-nine employees of the Group became graduates of a university of technology.

Postgraduate Studies „Chemical and Process Engineering and Technology” are considered as the first serious educational project organized by the Ciech Group and the Warsaw University of Technology. Probably this is the only venture of this kind in Poland during which the reputable university of technology completed the didactic programme corresponding strictly to the needs of a large industrial organization.

The curriculum covered seminars in both organic and inorganic technology, lectures and as well as classes covering more specialist areas such as nanohybrid inorganic-organic materials and membrane techniques. As a total, students participated in lectures lasting one hundred and forty-four hours, and in accounting and laboratory classes lasting twenty-seven hours. Moreover, they passed a lot of exams and credits. – I am glad that employees of the Ciech Group paid attention to the idea of skills enhancement and professional qualifications improvement, which is their object of interest – says Ryszard Kunicki, the president of Ciech and the Head of the Group.

The aim of the studies was to enhance the qualifications of employees by providing them with the most up-to-date knowledge on technological processes, new products and technologies as well as with an introduction to the financial and economic analysis of investments. – In my opinion the aim of postgraduate studies was achieved – says president R. Kunicki.
