On February 10th, it will be 5 years since Ciech SA debuted at the Warsaw Stock Exchange. The first five years as a public company were very busy. The Ciech Group strengthened its position as the leader of the national and Central-European chemical market.
The shareholders made the decision on the Ciech’s debut at the stock exchange in May 2004 and the preparations to the first quotations started at full steam. During the subscription to shares in January 205 the brokerage houses observed an unusually great interest on the part of institutional and individual investors. During the days intended for the latter ones, small stock exchange players formed long queues. The public open offering contained 11.55 million shares. The debut of Ciech SA on February 10th, 2005 turned out to be a great success. Beginning with the issue price of PLN 24 the value of our shares increased even by 23.3 percent. According to the 2005 Annual Report, Ciech acquired PLN 192 000 000 from the issue of shares. The debut at the Warsaw Stock Exchange turned out to be the best present on the occasion of the company’s 60th anniversary celebrated at that time.
