For 65 years Ciech has been an important figure in the economic landscape of Poland while its potential as a leading exporter of chemicals has always been significant in Europe. By the end of the previous century Ciech had created a strong manufacturing capital group.

Presently, the Ciech Chemical Group is the largest chemical company in Poland. In Europe it is the second manufacturer of soda ash in terms of the company size. The Ciech Chemical Group integrates over 30 companies, the basis of which is eight manufacturing companies. With an annual income worth approx. PLN 3.5 billion, the Ciech Chemical Group is acknowledged to be included in the hundred top enterprises in Poland.
The monthly magazine “Nowy Przemysł” (New Industry) awarded Ciech SA the honorary title of “The one who changes Polish industry” for its bold and successful acquisitions and consolidating initiatives in 2006. What is more, the Ciech brand was considered to be the strongest business brand by obtaining the title of "Business Superbrands Polska 2007"
This was not the only award Ciech won. The company was also awarded by Forbes for being one of the most valuable Polish enterprises. We took 26th place in the category “Diamonds of Forbes – large enterprises” (in total the publication awarded 53 companies on the list). The ranking showed that the average value increase of Ciech between 2004 and 2006 amounted to about 74 percent.

In addition to soda ash, other main products of the Ciech Chemical Group are: salt, phosphate fertilisers, plant protection agents, epoxy resins, foams and raw materials to produce foams and other basic chemicals in the glass-making, furniture, and building industries and in agriculture.
