The Management Board of CIECH S.A. hereby notifies that, on 13 October 2008, it received the following information:
"Pioneer Pekao Investment Management SA (PPIM), executing the agreement for the management of the funds' investment portfolio concluded between Pioneer Pekao Towarzystwo Funduszy Inwestycyjnych S.A. and PPIM and acting pursuant to Article 87 section 1 point 2 (a) of the Act of 29 July 2005 on public offering and the conditions of introducing financial instruments to an organized system of trading and on public companies [Journal of Laws of 2005 No. 184, item 1539], announces on behalf of the investment funds listed below:

2. Pioneer Aktywnej Alokacji Fundusz Inwestycyjny Otwarty,
3. Pioneer Fundusz Inwestycyjny Otwarty,
4. Pioneer Stabilnego Wzrostu Fundusz Inwestycyjny Otwarty,
5. Pioneer Małych i Średnich Spółek Rynku Polskiego Fundusz Inwestycyjny Otwarty,
6. Pioneer Średnich Spółek Rynku Polskiego Fundusz Inwestycyjny Otwarty,
7. Pioneer Zrównoważony Fundusz Inwestycyjny Otwarty,
8. Specjalistyczny Fundusz Inwestycyjny Otwarty Telekomunikacji Polskiej
that the commitment of the above investment funds has increased up to a 18,52% threshold of the total number of votes at the General Meeting of Shareholders of the company: CIECH S.A. as regards financial instruments being part of the portfolios of the said investment funds managed as part of the management service of the management of the funds' investment portfolio by PPIM.
Concerns the Pioneer investment funds created by Pioneer Pekao Towarzystwo Funduszy Inwestycyjnych S.A.

Moreover, the orders of the funds participants, in particular inbound and outbound payments and conversions, may affect decisions concerning the purchase or sale. Investment in the company mentioned above aims at increasing value of portfolios managed by Pioneer Pekao Investment Management SA."
