With reference to the current report no. 60/2008 of 19 August 2008, the Management Board of CIECH S.A. presents Mr Robert Bednarski’s curriculum vitae.
Robert Bednarski
Warsaw School of Economics graduate with a Masters degree in Quantitative Methods and IT Systems. He also completed doctoral studies at the College of Enterprise Studies and postgraduate studies in “Goodwill management”.
Since August 2007, as Executive Director for Organization and Integration in the ORLEN Group,he has been supervising the realization of a complex programme of value-building in the Maziku Nafta, realizing a programme of ORLEN S.A. restructuring and uniting and strengthening the model of the ORLEN Group management. In 2005-2007 he was a Finance Director and a Member of the Management Board of Basell Orlen Polyolefins – the largest polyolefin plastics producer in Poland, where he financially coordinated the extension of manufacturing capacities of that Company by 2.5 times (the project worth EUR 500 million). Director of the Finance Management Office in ORLEN S.A. in 2002-2005. From 1997 to 2002 he was a Manager of the Monetary Management Department (from 1998); prior to that, he had been a Financial Specialist in ORLEN S.A. In 1996-1997 he worked in the Ministry of Finance. Since 1998 a Member of supervisory boards in the ORLEN Group companies, including: RN Unipetrol a.s. and AB Mazeikiu Nafta. In 2006 he became a member of the British ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants). Furthermore, he completed courses in project financing, price risk management in oil industry, as well as managerial skills.
Robert Bednarski is not engaged in any competitive activity against Ciech SA. He is not any shareholder of a competitive (civil law) partnership, is not a member of a body of a capital company of any other legal person competitive against the Company. His name is not in the Register of Insolvent Debtors, which is kept according to the Act on the National Court Register.
