Our Group was awarded a prestigious title for 2006 - "Ten, który zmienia polski przemysł" (Changer of Polish Industry) - for successful and enterprising acquisitions and consolidation activities aimed at the development of a national chemical concern.
This award was established seven years ago and is granted by the economics monthly Nowy Przemysł. The winners are companies, individual and institutions that set trends for changes and innovation and that undertake action to support the growth of the Polish economy. Former winners include the Warsaw Stock Exchange, Prof Leszek Balcerowicz and Polski Koncern Naftowy Orlen.
Dr Wojciech Wardacki, a Member of the Management Board of Ciech SA, received the award on behalf of the Ciech Chemical Group on February 5th, 2007. "I have always envied foreign companies investing in Poland the support of their governments, embassies and consulates. But this time we have also received significant assistance from the Chancellery of the President, the Ministry of the Economy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for which I would like give my sincere thanks," said President Wardacki.
