Sól Kujawska (Salt of the Kujawy Region) manufactured by the Ciech Chemical Group has been awarded with the Polish Promotional Emblem “Teraz Polska” (“Poland Now”). During the gala concert at the Teatr Wielki on Monday 9th, the Head of the Soda Division of Ciech SA, Jan Szczepański picked up the “Teraz Polska” statuette.
“This is another Ciech's product awarded with the emblem “Teraz Polska”. The fact that we can use this marking on packs of Sól Kujawska is of great importance for us. It proves the high quality of this product and confirms the correctness of our policy adopted for this segment of our production”, says Mirosław Kochalski, President of the Ciech Chemical Group. In the previous year, the other product made in the Ciech Chemical Group, namely ClaroGlass glass hollow blocks, manufactured by Vitosilicon SA in Iłowa, has been awarded with the "Teraz Polska" emblem.
Sól Kujawska is an edible iodized evaporated salt, which is sold on the retail market in one-kilogramme packs. Ciech is the biggest manufacturer of evaporated salt in Poland. The salt is produced in a plant, which belongs to Soda Polska Ciech and is located in Janikowo in the Kujawy region. The plant manufactures about 600 million tons of evaporated salt every year.
Since the beginning of this production in 1976, already over 16 million tons of salt have been produced in the plant in Janikowo.
