The Ciech Chemical Group has received an award from the economics monthly Nowy Przemysł for the implementation of the Oracle E-Business Suite system with the title of "Najciekawsze z najlepszych" (The Most Interesting of the Best).
The ranking takes into account companies that invest in state-of-the-art modern management tools. The information on the award says, "The project at Ciech is still in an early phase of execution; however, the selection of a world-class integrated IT system for the whole group shows that the company focuses on improving effectiveness and on innovative investments, thanks to which it will be able to face foreign competition. Due to the joint model developed for software implementation in the whole group, Ciech intends to streamline the management of financial, accounting and logistic processes, to enhance the monitoring of its operations and to increase the sale of its products.”
The five winners of this year's Most Interesting of the Best ranking were given their awards during the Zmieniamy Polski Przemysł forum (We Change Polish Industry) which was held on February 5th, 2007 in Warsaw. Małgorzata Ślepowrońska, Director of the IT Unit, represented the Ciech Chemical Group. (A&F)
