The prestigious title of Business Superbrands

The Ciech brand has been chosen as one of the strongest "Business Superbrands" in the Polish market. This title is extremely prestigious. So far the following bands have received it in various categories: Adidas, Nokia, Coca-Cola, McDonald’s and TVN.

At the end of August an unusual fax arrived at the Ciech reception. "We are happy to inform you that the Ciech brand has been selected as one of the strongest «Business Superbrands» in the Polish market" stated this fax from the international Superbrands organisation.

For 12 years it has supported and promoted those companies and products which are the most recognizable among consumers and in the world of business. "Business Superbrands" is a project aimed at selecting the strongest and the most recognizable business brands in Poland. We were contending with over a hundred candidates for this title. We are even more pleased with the commendation as the Brand Council awards it to few companies (less than 5% applications).

“The Business Superbrand title shows the efforts of the Ciech Chemical Group have been appreciated by the market. This is an exceptionally precious commendation,” said Waldemar Grzegorczyk, Director of the Communications Office and Spokesperson for Ciech. The Superbrand commendation is very prestigious. So far the following bands have received it in various categories: Adidas, Nokia, Coca–Cola, McDonald’s, Orlen, Philips and TVN. The winners are entitled to use the title in internal and external communications, while their brands are included in the Superbrands album.

Ciech has been creating its brand for over 60 years. Adjustment in the image conducted in 2004, when Poland joined in the EU, was forced by the need to keep up with the changing environment. The company was preparing at that time for the privatisation and floatation on the stock exchange. Ciech wanted to catch up with its competition and prove it can keep pace with changes. Thanks to the new system of visual identification it is able to present a strong, coherent and modern image at the stock exchange.
