Having thoroughly verified the votes, Absolvent.pl Foundation selected the winners of the 2nd edition of the “Stypendium z Wyboru” scholarship programme. More than PLN 100 was awarded. 27 dreams were fulfilled. Internet users and Patrons selected 24 individuals and 3 teams. The programme was supported by 25 Patrons. What is the “Stypendium z Wyboru” programme about?
“Stypendium z Wyboru” is an initiative addressed to creative, ambitious students and graduates (up to one year after graduation) who have dreams connected with education, professional career and who cannot afford to fulfil them. The programme may be participated in by individuals and groups (composed of up to 5 people).
The winners of the scholarship which is worth even PLN 5 thousand will be selected by open voting. “Stypendium z Wyboru” may be applied for by anyone, regardless of his/her political views, financial situation, marks and origin. The sole criterion that is assessed includes the application which is a ticket to the programme.
A candidate/group must convince the jury with his/her enthusiasm, creativity and efforts when performing his/her work. A dream may be a language course, tuition fee, scientific trip abroad. Everybody has different goals, but everyone should be able to support them and show in the application work how much they want to attain them.
Fulfilling young people’s dreams is possible solely due to the support of Patrons – companies that invest in students and graduates.
The idea behind the “Stypendium z Wyboru” programme
The “Stypendium z Wyboru” programme is an opportunity for those who do not meet the criteria of traditional scholarships. We don’t care where you come from, what your marks are and what your income is. The scholarship will be awarded to those who are able to infect others with their passion and are able to tell about their goals.
The “Stypendium z Wyboru” programme provides a non-standard assistance to students and graduates. It is not limited to one specific branch or field of study. Everybody has a chance, an IT specialist dreaming about his own gallery of graphics and linguist needing money for a trip abroad.
The “Stypendium z Wyboru” programme is not only about a good time and an opportunity to gain funds to fulfil dreams. It also forms an opportunity to increase one’s chances in the labour market.
2nd edition of the “Stypendium z Wyboru” programme by dates
The programme started on October 17th, 2011 and ended on January 22nd, 2012. The winner list was announced on January 30th, 2012.
The scholarship competition was divided into two stages: submission of applications (October 17th, 2011 – December 11th, 2011) and voting (December 19th, 2011 – January 22nd, 2012). During the 2nd edition, Internet users and Patrons were able to vote for one work only once and assign it 1 to 5 stars.
The scholarship was awarded to individuals/teams whose works were assessed the highest and who obtained the most votes. The higher the amount applied for by a candidate/group, the harder the competition.
